National Diabetes Month

November is National Diabetes month, and at Capital Women’s Care Hagerstown, Women’s Health is one of our primary concerns. Did you know that according to the American Diabetes Association pregnant women who have never had diabetes before but who have high blood glucose (sugar) levels during pregnancy are said to have Gestational Diabetes? Nearly 18% of pregnancies are affected by Gestational Diabetes and educating our patients with the knowledge to be able to see the signs is a primary step to ensure a health pregnancy.
