The Hagerstown office of Capital Women’s Care offers bone density testing for patients who may be at risk for Osteoporosis or Osteopenia.  Bone density testing is a painless test that uses x-rays to measure the amount of Calcium and other bone minerals in a segment of bone.  The bones most often tested are located in the spine, hip, and forearm.

How to prepare for bone density testing…

1.  Wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing.  Avoid wearing clothing with metal zippers or buttons of any kind.
